Aerglo Privacy Policy

Aerglo (“we,” “us,” the “App”) is an AI-assisted weather application. This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and who it is shared with. We designed Aerglo to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your data or use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Information We Handle

• Location. With your permission, the App uses your device’s location (while you are using the App) to retrieve weather forecasts, radar, and severe-weather alerts for your area. Coordinates are sent to our servers and to weather data providers solely to return weather information. You can also enter locations manually. You can revoke location access at any time in your device Settings.
• Anonymous device identifier. The App generates a random identifier stored on your device. It is used to remember your settings (such as custom alert rules) and to associate your subscription entitlement with your device. It is not linked to your name or email.
• Push notification token. If you enable notifications, your device’s push token is registered with our servers so we can deliver weather alerts you have requested.
• AI assistant queries. When you use the in-app AI features (“Ask Aerglo,” Weather IQ, briefings), the question and the relevant weather context are sent to our servers and to our AI processing provider to generate a response. We do not use these queries to build a profile of you.
• Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Subscription status is managed through our payments provider (RevenueCat) using your anonymous device identifier. We never receive or store your payment card details.
• Diagnostic information. Our servers may log standard technical data (such as request timestamps and error information) to keep the service reliable and secure.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not require your name, email, or an account to use the App.
• We do not include third-party advertising or analytics-tracking SDKs.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information.

Service Providers

We share the minimum information necessary with providers who help operate the App:

• Weather & radar data (e.g. Open-Meteo, the U.S. National Weather Service, RainViewer) — receive location coordinates to return forecasts and radar.
• Maps (Mapbox) — provides map and radar tile rendering.
• AI processing (our language-model provider) — processes AI assistant queries and weather context to generate responses.
• Payments (Apple, RevenueCat) — process and manage subscriptions.
• Hosting (our cloud infrastructure provider) — runs our backend services.

These providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for Aerglo.

Data Retention

Location coordinates are used to fulfill weather requests and are not stored as a long-term location history tied to your identity. Settings and custom alert rules are retained while they are active or until you delete them or uninstall the App. Diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period for reliability and security.

Your Choices

• Turn location or notifications on or off at any time in your device Settings.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s App Store account settings.
• Delete your data by uninstalling the App, or by contacting us using the email below.

Children

Aerglo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
